Clinton Campaign Ad Targets Trump's Praise of Dictators

Hillary Clinton's campaign is hitting Donald Trump for being too enamored with "powerful and dangerous dictators" in a new ad released over the weekend.

The spot features Trump's comments about North Korea’s Kim Jong Un, Iraq’s Saddam Hussein, and Russia's Vladimir Putin.

"You've got to give him credit," Trump is heard saying of Kim. "He wiped out the uncle. He wiped out this one, that one. I mean, this guy doesn't play games."

As for the late Iraq dictator, Trump's comment is replayed that states, "Saddam Hussein was a bad guy, right? You know what he did well? He killed terrorists. He did that so good."

Another segment shows MSNBC host Joe Scarborough questioning Trump’s compliments of Putin, to which Trump replies: “Putin’s been a very strong leader for Russia."

"He is also a person that kills journalists, political opponents and invades countries," Scarborough retorts. "Obviously that would be a concern, would it not?"

"He’s running his country and at least he's a leader, unlike what we have in this country," Trump responds.

The new ad plays off Clinton's off-stated criticism of Trump that his judgment and temperament make him unfit for the White House.
