Donald Trump is calling Democratic presidential candidate Martin O'Malley a "baby" for apologizing after telling protesters shouting "black lives matter" that "all lives matter."

"He apologized like a little baby, like a disgusting, little, weak, pathetic baby, and that's the problem with our country," Trump says in a segment of an interview with Fox News' Jeanine Pirro. The clip from Pirro's "Justice" program aired on the "Fox & Friends" program Friday morning, with the full interview scheduled to run Saturday night.

Trump told Pirro that O'Malley not only didn't need to apologize, but that by doing so he was "politically incorrect."

“How can you apologize when you say black lives matter — which is true — white lives matter, which is true — all lives [matter] — which is true?" said Trump. "And then they get angry because you said white and all, [but] we don’t want you to mention that. What’s he need to apologize for?"

O'Malley, former governor of Maryland, apologized last month after telling protesters at the Netroots Nations event "Black lives matter. White lives matter. All lives matter," reports Politico.

Critics on the left said the remarks showed a lack of understanding of what the Black Lives Matter movement is all about.

O'Malley then told the online program, "This Week in Blackness," that his comments were "a mistake on my part and I meant no disrespect."

"I did not mean to be insensitive in any way or communicate that I did not understand the tremendous passion, commitment and feeling and depth of feeling that all of us should be attaching to this issue," O'Malley said in his apology.

Trump acknowledged this week that he finds it "very difficult" to apologize for anything and, in fact, when The Hollywood Reporter asked him to recall the last time he made an apology, he said it was "too many years ago to remember. I have one of the great memories of all time, but it was too long ago."

And while there have been calls for Trump to apologize for statements he has made regarding Mexican immigrants, John McCain and Megyn Kelly, he's refused because he says he was right on all three topics.

"I feel quite confident in my position. At the same time, I believe in apologizing. But to apologize for me is very difficult," Trump said. "I definitely would apologize if I were wrong on something."
