Three GOP senators say they're against taking up an Obamacare repeal-and-replace bill – opposition that could stymie Republican leaders' push to pass legislation before the July 4 recess.
"On the current bill, I’m not voting to get on it unless it changes before we get to it," Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., told reporters Monday, The Hill reported.
Sen. Susan Collins tweeted out her "no" vote, declaring, "I want to work w/ my GOP & Dem colleagues to fix the flaws in ACA. CBO analysis shows Senate bill won't do it. I will vote no on [motion to proceed]."
Meanwhile, Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev., already warned last week he could vote against taking up the bill unless changes are made.
"If this is the bill, if this is the language on that procedural motion on Tuesday, I won't be voting for it," he said in his home state, The Hill reported.
The three senators aren't alone in their opposition. Sen. Ron Johnson , R-Wis., told reporters it'd be a "mistake" to try to move to the bill Tuesday while he and other conservatives try to wrangle more changes to the legislations.
"Don’t set yourself up for failure," he said, The Hill reported.
