Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump in the race for president among New Jersey voters in a new poll.

PublicMind poll results show Clinton has 44 percent support, compared to 32 percent for Trump. Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson earned 9 percent support.
In a head-to-head matchup between Clinton and Trump without Johnson as an option, Clinton has a 52 percent to 31 percent lead.
Other key findings from the poll:
- Fifty-nine percent of those surveyed think Clinton will win the presidential election.
- In the matchup including Johnson, 76 percent of Democrats support Clinton and 68 percent of Republicans support Trump. Independents are split at 32 percent for Trump and 31 percent for Clinton.
"Democrats are breaking for Clinton with Republicans squarely behind Trump," said PublicMind director Krista Jenkins. "Both major party candidates have a strong base of supporters. Even though there's been speculation that Johnson would draw Republicans away from Trump, his effect in the Garden State pales in comparison to the expectation.
"Walls to keep undocumented immigrants out and middle class tax cuts are seen as more rhetoric than reality. Having grown accustomed to promises unfulfilled, Garden State voters aren't going to be too quick to expect big changes from either candidate."
