John Cornyn: No Delay in This Week's Vote on Healthcare

Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn vowed the Senate will vote on the Republican healthcare bill this week.

The Texas senator took to Twitter on Monday to say he was ruling out any delay in the Senate vote.

Despite four Republican conservative senators opposing the bill and other GOP Senate members expressing concern, the leadership does not believe more time will help win votes for the bill, The Hill noted.

"But it's going to be close," Cornyn said. He downplayed criticism from some fellow Republicans, who said the process was rushed, the Los Angeles Times reported.
