Trump: Liberal Activists Behind Feisty Town Hall Crowds

Liberal activists are behind the angry and hostile crowds in the home districts of some Republicans, President Donald Trump said in a tweet Tuesday.

The so-called angry crowds in home districts of some Republicans are actually, in numerous cases, planned out by liberal activists. Sad!

Town hall meetings held by Republicans lately have been filled with standing-room only crowds and hostility aimed at the GOP party and at Trump.

People shouted "Boo" and "Liar" at a raucous meeting Tuesday held by Rep. Dennis A. Ross in Florida, telling him to urge Congress to keep Obamacare intact, stop deporting undocumented workers, and fight climate change, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

In Iowa, Sen. Chuck Grassley faced two packed town hall meetings where things got quite feisty – a man yelled at a woman to "shut your hole!" and another man gave Grassley a bottle of Tums, telling him "You're going to need 'em the next few years," The Des Moines Register reported.

Rep. Tom McClintock in California, Rep. Gus Bilirakis in Florida Rep. Mark Sanford and Sen. Tim Scott in South Carolina also encountered protesters at recent gatherings in their home districts.
