California Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters denies she called for the impeachment of President Donald Trump — despite video evidence of her leading a crowd in a chant to "impeach 45."
In an interview Tuesday on MSNBC, Waters was pressed about a tweet vowing she'd fight "everyday until [Trump's] impeached."
Waters told MSNBC allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government need to be investigated — but when she was asked if there should be a wait for a call for impeachment until there are answers, Waters insisted: "I have not called for impeachment."
"Here's what I've said," Waters said. "I've said that we need the information, we need to connect the dots, we need the facts in order to do the impeachment. And I'm going to work every day to try and help get those facts and to reveal them . . . to our public until, of course, impeachment has taken place."
