Mike Huckabee says Hillary Clinton may be more comfortable smoking a joint on camera than answering questions from the press.

The former Arkansas governor and GOP presidential candidate raised the possibility as he tweaked the Democratic presidential nominee for not meeting with Mexico President Peña Nieto like her GOP rival Donald Trump did this week.

"For the record, Peña Nieto also invited Hillary Clinton to meet with him, but her only response was to put out a statement snarking at Trump," Huckabee said Thursday on his Facebook page.

"But the president of Mexico shouldn't feel snubbed: Hillary has scheduled only six public appearances anywhere between now and the end of September.

"Plus there's always the possibility that she assumed visiting him would require holding a joint press conference. She'd probably rather be caught on camera holding a joint than holding a press conference."

On Wednesday, Trump jetted to Mexico City to meet with Nieto — a meeting that he said produced a "great, substantive, constructive exchange of ideas."

But Clinton criticized Trump for "dropping in" on Mexico, saying building relationships takes more than "a photo op."
