Rep. Rodney Davis said he is not sure what some members of Congress are talking about regarding a new healthcare deal.
"I wish I knew what was in this so-called deal," Davis (R-Ill.) said Friday on CNN, according to The Washington Times.
House Republicans have said they are nearing a compromise on healthcare, and that details will be given to members in a conference call Saturday, according to a CNN report Thursday.
Davis said he does not think the process to finish the bill was rushed. The debate is "the same process that we use when we legislate any bill," he said, according to the Times.
Also on Friday, Davis, a member of the moderate Republican Tuesday Group, said that Democrats need to stop "sitting on their hands" in order to prevent a government shutdown. He made the comments in an appearance on "CNN Newsroom."
