Barcelona, 1992. Cecelia Gonzalez De La Hoya was promised by her son Oscar that he would one day bring home an Olympic gold medal in boxing. Although Cecelia died in 1990 after her long fight with breast cancer, Oscar fulfilled his promise in the 1992 Games after defeating Germany’s Marco Rudolph 7-2. After the victory he stated, "I feel like I waited for this moment all my life.”
