Glenn Retires As an Astronaut

Marine Col. John Glenn Jr. as he arrived at his home January 16, 1964 Thursday afternoon in Houston after resigning as an astronaut. Glenn's resignation was announced by a statement from the Manned Spacecraft Center at Houston, Texas. Glenn said that he was leaving that day for Columbus, Ohio.
