A time lapse video of the daily mad dash of two golden retriever puppies for their food, taken over nine months and showing them grow, has captured the imagination of social media and racked up 5.7 million views since it was posted on YouTube on Sunday.
Like the movie 'Grandhog Day," someone pours dog food into a tray every day and then the puppies, named Colby and Bleu, dart down the same hallway repeatedly from 11 weeks to 46 weeks. Viewers can see how the puppies grow over that period and how their mad food dash hardly changes over time.
"Adults will always cry at Disney films, meant for children, Zac Efron's biceps will always fascinate us and dogs will always treat dinner time like the most exciting event on the planet,"
wrote E! News' Jenna Mullins. "The proof of that last fact is in this remarkable time-lapse."
"And by the end of the video they're so grown up it's hard to believe they were ever those teeny, fluffy puppies from the beginning,"
wrote Anna Swartz of The Dodo.com. "One thing never changes though — their love for dinner."
The puppies have their own
Instagram account with more than 4,500 followers.
Many on social media couldn't get over the "adorable" pups as they quickly grow up.
