Tracy Morgan and Walmart announced they have settled a lawsuit filed by the entertainer in connection with last year's deadly crash on the New Jersey Turnpike that severely injured the former "30 Rock" star and killed another person. The terms weren't revealed.

A Walmart tractor-trailer hit a limousine which Morgan, 46, and others were in last June 7, killing Morgan's friend and fellow comedian James McNair, 63, who went by the stage name Jimmy Mack, reported the Los Angeles Times, and Morgan sued Walmart.

"Walmart did right by me and my family, and for my associates and their families," Morgan said in a statement released by Walmart. "I am grateful that the case was resolved amicably."

Walmart officials said details of the settlement will remain confidential.

"While we know there is nothing that can change what happened, Walmart has been committed to doing what's right to help ensure the well-being of all of those who were impacted by the accident," said Greg Foran, Walmart's U.S. president.

"We worked closely with (Morgan's attorney Benedict) Morelli, and we are pleased to have reached an amicable settlement that ends this litigation. We are deeply sorry that one of our trucks was involved," said Foran.

"Walmart and I worked diligently to reach this settlement for the plaintiffs and their families. Walmart took full responsibility for the accident, which we greatly appreciate," said Morelli.

People magazine reported the comedian sustained a traumatic brain injury in the accident and his recovery has been slow. Morgan was seen walking with a cane while shopping with his fiancée, Megan Wollover, and their daughter in March.

Kevin Roper, 35, the driver of the tractor-trailer that collided with Morgan's limo last year, has pleaded not guilty to one count of death by auto and four counts of assault by auto, according to the Times.

New Jersey accident investigators said Roper had been awake for more than 24 hours and was speeding on the turnpike at the time of the accident, reported the Times.
