Before marrying Oscar-winning actor George Clooney, Amal Clooney was best known as an internationally-respected human rights attorney, and on Wednesday in Strasbourg, Germany, she found her new Hollywood identity blending with her work when she was asked about her courtroom style of clothing, according to the Huffington Post.

British reporter Bruno Waterfield tweeted her response.

Ede & Ravenscroft, which one would not find on the red carpet of the Golden Globes or Academy Awards, are the makers of the robes she wears as an attorney while in court.

Clooney appeared in court involving an appeal connected with Turkish Workers' Party leader Doğu Perinçek, who was convicted of denying the 1915 Armenian genocide in 2007, reported The Independent. Perinçek had argued that his free speech right was violated when Swiss courts convicted him of denying the genocide.

The European Court of Human Rights initially ruled in Perincek's favor in December, 2013.

"(Clooney) has been involved in several major lawsuits, such as return of the Elgin Marbles from Great Britain to Greece, and defending Julian Assange of WikiLeaks and former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko," wrote Hurat Sassounian of the Huffington Post in December.

"She has also worked with the Prosecutor of the (United Nations) Special Tribunal for Lebanon and the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia," wrote  Sassounian.

Clooney's fashion response impressed numerous fans on social media.
