A group that hacked Sony Pictures has leaked new emails from such Hollywood figures as producer Scott Rudin and studio co-chair Amy Pascal, including a message in which Rudin calls Angelina Jolie a “a minimally talented spoiled brat.”
The comment appears to have been made in response to Jolie’s objection about director David Fincher working on Sony's Steve Jobs film
instead of her Cleopatra film, according to The Telegraph.
“I'm not destroying my career over a minimally talented spoiled brat who thought nothing of shoving this off her plate for eighteen months so she could go direct a movie,” Rudin wrote, according to The Telegraph.
The hackers uploaded the email inboxes of Pascal and Sony TV head Steve Mosko onto file-sharing sites.
It’s the latest is a series of leaks from the hackers, which also have included the release of private aliases celebrities use to book hotel rooms and car rentals.
In a blog in The Washington Post, Hayley Tsukayama called the hacks “character assassination.”
“These leaks make Sony Pictures look like a total mess,” Tsukayama wrote. “In the leaked thread on the Jobs movie, Sony Pictures co-chairman Amy Pascal comes as needlessly aggressive, incompetent and totally willing to trash high-value talent such as actress Angelina Jolie to anyone when needed.”
Twitter users were uncomfortable with all the information coming out of the latest leaks.
