Georgia police are searching for two suspects accused of attempting to rob a woman and then shooting and killing her 13-month-old son as she walked him in a stroller. Police said one of the suspects could possibly be as young as 10.
Sherry West said she was walking her son, Antonio, in a stroller Thursday morning in Brunswick, a coastal town some 30 miles north of Florida, when two boys approached her.
"He said, 'I'm gonna kill you if you don't give me your money,' and I said, 'I swear, I don't have any,'" West told
CNN affiliate WAWS. "I put my arms over my baby and he shoves me and he shot my baby right in the head."

West said one of the boys appeared to be between 13 and 15 years old, while the other looked as young as 10.
Police responded to a 911 call and found the baby shot dead and West with a leg wound. No weapon was recovered. Authorities were checking attendance records at nearby schools Friday to try and identify the suspects, according to CNN.
A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the boys' capture.
"This is obviously just a terrible day in the city of Brunswick," Mayor Bryan Thompson told reporters on Thursday, "and made even more terrible by the senseless killing of a young child. And it appears perpetrated by children themselves."
Earlier this month,
a 6-month-old baby girl was shot and killed in Chicago as her father stood by the open side door of his minivan changing her diaper. The shooting was reportedly gang-related.

Last month,
a Connecticut grandmother shot and killed both her 6-month-old and 2-year-old grandsons before turning the gun on herself. The woman was supposed to pick up the two boys from daycare and take them home to open one of the boy's birthday presents.
