Camille Cosby is under fire as social media users debated over the weekend what and when she first knew about her husband's sexual escapades.

Over the weekend, the New York Post published an article revealing that although Camille Cosby acknowledges that her husband is a “serial philanderer,” she believes that the women who have accused him of sexual assault consented to receive the Quaaludes he purchased to engage in sex with him.

Two unnamed sources said to be close to the Cosby family were quoted in the New York Post story, one saying, “[Camille’s] well aware of his cheating, but she doesn’t believe that her husband is a rapist.”

One source also said in an interview that Bill Cosby's wife is “a proud, dignified, but stubborn woman. You can say that she’s standing by her husband, but really, the more people stand against him, the more she perceives it as an affront to her and all that she’s done to make him a star.”

Social media exploded over the weekend in the wake of the story and the previous revelation that Cosby admitted in a 2005 deposition to purchasing Quaaludes with the intent to give them to women he wished to have sex with, according to CNN. Many took to Twitter to vent their frustration with Camille Cosby and express their astonishment and disgust that she would stand by her man:
