Channing Tatum is "very fat" and loving it.
The former muscle-bound sex symbol who wowed female audiences as a male stripper in 2012's "Magic Mike" has put on some extra pounds after he and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum celebrated the birth of their daughter Everly last May.
In an interview with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres on Thursday, the Hollywood hunk discussed his ever-expanding waist size after dancing out to meet the former comic.

"Now what happens . . . Whenever you dance, we think you're going to take your clothes off," DeGeneres told Tatum, referring to his "Magic Mike" role.
"You definitely don't want that right now," Tatum responded. "Right now, what me and my wife like to call it — I am very fappy."
"You're fappy?" DeGeneres asked.
"I'm very fat and happy right now," he explained. "I've been working for two straight years and now it's some really needed downtime."
Since 2009, the 33-year-old Alabama-born Tatum has starred or appeared in more than 20 films, including "21 Jump Street," "White House Down," "The Vow," and "This Is the End."
In addition to discussing his weight, Tatum also talked about his daughter, whom he said frequently falls asleep listening to rapper Drake or singer Prince.
DeGeneres also asked Tatum about what it's like being the former Sexiest Man Alive, a title he received from People magazine in 2012.
"You are no longer the Sexiest Man Alive," DeGeneres said. "You're out and [Adam Levine] is now the Sexiest Man Alive. Do you pass on a sash or what happens?"
"It is a sash, how did you know that?" the actor joked. "It was supposed to be a secret."
"I think the only thing that you pass on is the ability for your friends just to make complete fun of you for the rest of your life," Tatum added. "Even my wife had a go at it. You know, she called me SMA [acronym for Sexiest Man Alive]. She's like, 'SMA, can you get me coffee?'"
Though he appears to be taking a temporary hiatus from acting to enjoy his daughter's first year, Tatum has four motion pictures scheduled for release in 2014, including "Foxcatcher," "Jupiter Ascending," and "22 Jump Street."
