Toy maker Mattel and "Star Wars" have partnered up to create a Darth Vader car inspired by the iconic movies.
At Comic-Con in San Diego this week, Mattel unveiled the Hot Wheels toy car inspired by the villain with a full-size replica that is actually drivable.

According to Tech Times, the "Darth Car" — built by PCW Brands — began as a C5 Corvette. It was then upgraded to a C6 engine that can possibly go as high as 150 mph. The windshield, cockpit, and front grill were fashioned to replicate Darth Vader's helmet.
The cockpit of the Darth Car also slides up and opens the same way Vader's helmet does, and a smoke device puts out white smoke when the cockpit hatch is opened.
In addition, side pipes light up to look like Vader's lightsaber and the car is able to make sounds that mimic Darth Vader’s signature breathing. Several audio effects are controlled by an iPad.
It reportedly took about eight weeks to build the life-size Darth Car that is on display at Mattel’s booth at Comic-Con this week.
“Hot Wheels says its goal was to pay tribute to its own stylistic heritage but to also harness the futuristic yet
timeless design of the “Star Wars” universe,” Car and Driver said. “We say it succeeded — mightily.”
According to Car and Driver, design work on the toy version of the Darth Car began in November of last year while work on the full-size replica began in April.
The toy Hot Wheels car can only be bought at Comic-Con and then is expected to be in stores in October with a retail price of about $40.
Other "Star Wars"-inspired Mattel cars that will be on sale in October will include a smart car styled after Yoda, a monster truck for Chewbacca, an old-school hotrod for R2-D2, an SUV made to look like a Clone Trooper, and a sports car for Luke Skywalker.
The Darth Car is getting its fair share of love on Twitter.
