'Dumb and Dumber 2' Will Make Original Film Look 'Lame,' Daniels Says

Actor Jeff Daniels has promised that "Dumb and Dumber To" will make the original comedy look "lame."

“There are some things we're going to do in 'Dumb & Dumber To' that are going to make the toilet scene look lame,” Daniels said in an E! Online interview backstage at the Emmys.

Daniels will star once more with the intrepid and little-bit-crazy Jim Carrey, and he posted to his Twitter account a pic of the two on set filming "Dumb and Dumber To."

Despite his focus on the movie, it’s not fair to say Daniels wasn’t excited about his surprise Emmy win, which was unexpected in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his work on “The Newsroom.”

But clearly, the wacky comedy of "Dumb and Dumber" is sucking him back to, shall we say, less intellectual comedy. Carrey, too, is promoting the movie on Twitter, along with his new book:

“Dumb and Dumber” got mixed reviews when it came out but the movie got quite a cult following over the years.

Daniels' “toilet scene” reference will be crystal clear to anyone who saw the original, which came out in 1994, but in case you missed it, here’s the clip:
