Not everyone has a taste for frog legs, especially when the frog is not listed in the ingredients.
A Wall Street Journal employee reportedly found a dead green and brown frog in her organic Pret A Manger nicoise salad Monday after already eating half of it.

A colleague posted a photo of it on Instagram with the caption: "Photo of said dead frog found in my colleague's @Pret salad #aughhhggughhh #nofilter"
Selling handmade natural food may be partly to blame for the unexpected ingredient, Ellen Roggemann,
vice president of brand marketing for Pret a Manger in the U.S., told the Wall Street Journal.
“We don’t use any pesticides with our greens and they go through multiple washing cycles,” she said. “An unfortunate piece of organic matter has made its way through,” and “we are so regretful that this has happened,” she said.
The employee was “pretty shaken, understandably,” said Kathryn Lurie, a Wall Street Journal editor, who posted the Instagram photo of the
frog mixed in with eggs, greens, and capers, the New York Post reported.
The unfortunate diner returned the salad to the New York Pret location across from her company’s office on Sixth Avenue between 47th and 48th streets. She received an apology from the manager, a refund, and a free lunch voucher.
Pret issued a statement about the incident:
“At Pret A Manger, we take issues like this very seriously. Our lettuce is sourced from farms that do not use any pesticides on its produce, therefore organic matter does very rarely manage to pass through our production process. We are currently looking into this issue to make every effort that this does not happen again.”
