Greta Van Susteren 'Not Going Anywhere' From Fox or Prime Time

Fox News' Greta Van Susteren is "not going anywhere" despite a line in a New York Times article Tuesday that said the commentator had initiated talks with CNN last spring to possibly return to the network.

The long-standing speculation has been that Van Susteren's "On the Record" would be bumped from its 10 p.m. time slot, a rumor exacerbated by the Times' piece, which reported that fellow Fox anchor Megyn Kelly would be joining the prime-time lineup.

Buried down in the piece was a brief graph about the supposed Van Susteren/CNN talks.

"Several Web sites, including Mediaite, reported this week that Ms. Van Susteren had held talks with CNN, seeking a job at that network," the Times' Bill Carter wrote. "A CNN executive confirmed Tuesday that those talks had taken place."

Van Susteren spoke out on Twitter and on her blog to dispel the rumors.

"I am not going anywhere," Van Susteren wrote on her blog Tuesday (though the post appears to have been deleted). "I have a long term contract with Fox News Channel and it is for a daily cable news show in 'prime time.' Don't you love the courage of the anonymous sources? And those who then speculate from there?"

Van Susteren got her television start as a legal analyst on CNN, appearing from 1994 to 2002.
