Janet Jackson Missing Poster Brings Online Pleas for Return

By    |   Friday, 24 April 2015 06:21 AM EDT

A "Janet Jackson missing" poster tweeted by a fan last week urging the Grammy-winning singer to produce some new music brought other online pleas for her return and a response from the now-reclusive pop star.

Jackson, 48, sister of late musical superstar Michael Jackson and winner of six Grammy Award for her own music, has been out of the public spotlight after marrying Middle East billionaire fashion tycoon Wissam Al Mana in 2012, according to E! News.

"Come back and show these young whippersnappers how it's done!" the Twitter post read. "We're not asking. We're BEGGING!"

James "Jimmy Jam" Harris, who along with Terry Lewis produced some of Jackson's biggest hits with her albums "Control" and "Rhythm Nation 1814," plugged the original post as well.

That brought a reaction from Jackson, retweeting the Jimmy Jam post along with a post of her own last week and Monday.

The responses, though, did not give fans what they wanted to hear, which was that the artist was returning to the music scene anytime soon.
