"Jamie was indeed a passenger in a car involved in a collision this a.m.," the actress's rep told E! News. "She went to the hospital to be checked out, but she is fine and is home resting."

The incident occurred at around 10:10 a.m. at the Venice, Calif., intersection of Pacific Avenue and Rose Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Another person involved in the accident was also taken to the hospital with more serious injuries, TMZ reported. The current condition of the other individual was not reported.

In photos taken at the scene shortly after the accident, which were published on TMZ.com, we see a shaken up Curtis accompanied by a police officer while a woman who appears to be Foster hovers nearby.

Curtis, who is known for her roles in "True Lies," Freaky Friday," and the original "Halloween," as well as several subsequent movies in the famous horror series, has reportedly taken a step back from appearing in feature films and is now popping up in several TV series' such as "NCIS" and "New Girl," E! News reported.

Curtis is the daughter of Hollywood icon Tony Curtis, who died in September 2010.

The two-time Academy Award winning Foster meanwhile, who is best known for her roles in "Taxi Driver," "The Accused," and "The Silence of the Lambs," among many other films, appeared to have signaled that she was stepping away from acting during a memorable speech at the 2013 Golden Globes where she revealed she was gay.

Despite the gesture that she was considering retirement, Foster currently has a leading role in the soon-to-be released film "Elysium."
