Johnny Manziel has been fined by the Cleveland Browns for missing a concussion treatment the day after the injured quarterback was allegedly spotted at a Las Vegas casino ahead of the team's season-ending loss to Pittsburgh.

Sashi Brown, the team's executive vice president of football operations, told Cleveland.com and a group of other writers Thursday that the club dealt with Manziel missing his concussion treatment on Jan. 3, but would not speculate on where he was.

"I don't know where Johnny was the final game of the season,'' Brown told the media. "I do know he was late for his treatment and he was fined for that, the missed treatment for his concussion protocol."

USA Today reported that Manziel, the 23-year-old quarterback who spent the start of 2015 in rehab, was spotted at Planet Hollywood casino in Las Vegas, where he ate a meal and spent time at the blackjack table.

A waitress at Planet Hollywood told the newspaper that she served Manziel and guests at its bar while a patron witnessed him gambling.

"What we're focused on is he missed his rehab time," Brown told Cleveland.com. "Our focus largely has been on moving this organization forward and a piece of that would be Johnny, but that won't be all of it."

"And so immediately after the season we got into a mode where we focused on the head coach, and we will sit down and have discussions with Johnny at the appropriate time. I think it's a fair question and one we will get to,'' he continued.

The Browns fired head coach Mike Pettine and general manager Ray Farmer after the team's final game, NBC Sports reported.

Brown said despite the fine and Manziel's troubled two years with the franchise, the team is in no rush to make a decision on his future.

"We're not in any panic to make any decision one way or another on him,'' he said, according to Cleveland.com. "He understands what's ahead of him and what he needs to do to have a career in this league and with the Browns.''
