Ex-Slugger Jose Canseco Takes to Twitter to Explain Gravity

By    |   Tuesday, 19 February 2013 03:27 PM EST

Former Major League Baseball star Jose Canseco who boosted his public profile by admitting to using steroids has been raising it even higher the last few days on Twitter.

The 48-year-old Oakland Athletics outfielder has been sharing his arguably uninformed science theories and international relations expertise online.

The former "Celebrity Apprentice" cast member is often flamboyant and outspoken on the microblogging website, so the recent series of tweets is nothing new for him.

Last week, after a massive meteor exploded above Central Russia, Canseco insisted that media reports were wrong. In all apparent seriousness, Canseco tweeted that the explosion that injured at least 1,000 had to be a conspiracy.

On Tuesday he shared his views on gravity.

Canseco currently plays for the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings, an Independent League team.
