Justin Bieber's skateboarding skills on the steps of NYC's Madison Square Garden suggest he's not ready for the X Games, as the bad boy pop singer made a number of awkward attempts at landing a relatively simple trick.
Bieber, who was hanging with Hailey Baldwin, the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin, tried and tried again to pull off a stunt in front of the famed sports arena in Manhattan,
reported TMZ.
"Justin Bieber's greatest skill as a skateboarder might be his perseverance, because while most people would give up after failing over and over ... the Biebs just keeps on going," said TMZ. "Bieber was trying to show off his skateboarding skills for a throng of fans … The Beliebers all stood back as he tried to ollie down a few stairs ... but it didn't go well."
A fan posted a
Vine video of Bieber finally succeeding and landing the trick he had been trying to pull off,
according to E! News.
"Justin Bieber was so happy when he landed that trick like a 'fricken boss,'" wrote Cory Levy on his Vine caption. Bieber pulled it off after plenty of practice.
"Biebs began gaining a lot of attention while rolling around on his board and soon enough there was a huge crowd of fans and paparazzi watching him attempt to pull off a trick," wrote E! News' Bruna Nessif. "In fact, Bieber ate it hard a couple times, falling and tumbling across the concrete steps (ouch!), but he continued to get back up and try again, so he's OK...and pretty determined."
Nessif wrote that Bieber, 20, and Baldwin, 18, being spotted together fueled the rumor mill about a budding romance between the two, something both recently tried to distance himself from on social media.
