Despite being 14 weeks pregnant, Kate Middleton has taken on a sexier look with the assistance of her new 27-year-old personal stylist,
according to Vanity Fair magazine.
Sources told the magazine that Natasha Archer has been steering the Duchess of Cambridge to a bolder, more glamorous look. Middleton's new personal assistant at Kensington Palace has been tasked with putting the princess on-trend, and she in turn has been guiding the princess to gowns made by Alice Temerley and Jenny Packham, for example, noted Vanity Fair.
"Initially Kate was a reluctant fashion icon, but now she enjoys it," a source to Archer, who goes by the nickname Tash, told Royal Watch, according to Vanity Fair. "Tash helps source some of the clothes. She shops a lot for Kate online, and calls in hundreds of dresses for Kate to try on. She has persuaded Kate to take some more risks. The hemlines are shorter and Kate's really pushing the boat out in the fashion stakes."
The Mirror fashion and beauty director Amber Graafland praised Middleton in her first public appearance Oct. 21 after the announcement of pregnancy and nearly two months out of the public spotlight battling morning sickness.
"Without even the slightest hint of a royal baby bump Kate wore a stylish grey checked dress coat by her wedding dress designer Alexander McQueen with a chic Jane Taylor hat," Graafland wrote. "It looks like Kate has managed to overcome her sickness and is back on fine fashion form, but then we wouldn't expect anything less."
E! News reported on Oct. 24 that a black Temperley London fit-and-flare dress Middleton wore in her third appearance in public sold out in less than 24 hours, reconfirming what the celebrity network called the "the Kate effect."
Middleton has been the focus the various makeover rumors since her arrival to the royal family. In February, the Daily Mail reported that Queen Elizabeth wanted more "subtle but significant regal makeover" for the duchess when she traveled to Australia in April.
