Lots of people are posting makeup-free selfies in support of actress
Kim Novak who was panned for her "frozen" appearance at the Oscars earlier this month.
Best-selling novelist Laura Lippman started the movement because she felt bad about the reaction to 81-year-old Novak, who did wear makeup but whose face seemed "frozen," and implored readers to share bare-faced pictures of themselves.

"I looked at [Novak's] photo and thought, 'Well, damned if you do, damned if you don't' ... all I could think was,
God love you, Kim Novak," Lippman told The Guardian. "We criticize women for aging. We criticize women for not aging. We criticize women's bodies. We criticize women for bad plastic surgery."
Lippman, 55, is on "Team Novak all the way," and posted a makeup-free photograph of herself on Facebook. She said she received overwhelming responses with the hashtag "#itsokkimnovak."
Lippman told The Daily Mail that she's looked at "hundreds" of photos over the past week, and "with each one, the faces became more beautiful to me."
Known for her Tess Monaghan book series, Lippman told The Guardian that she wished "every person who walks a red carpet was annotated or wore a label, detailing exactly how much work they've had done. Not to shame them, quite the opposite."
"We need to stop lying about how people age. We need to own our Botox, our fillers, our nose jobs, our liposuction,"
she wrote in her blog post, titled "You So Pretty: Kim Novak, c'est moi."
