Five years after his wife died following a traumatic head injury, actor Liam Neeson’s nephew is in critical condition with head injury sustained in a fall from a telephone booth early Sunday morning.
According to the Daily Mail, Ronan Sexton, 31, the son of Neeson’s sister Bernadette Sexton, was reportedly enjoying a night out with friends while celebrating someone’s birthday in the U.K.’s East Sussex. He apparently climbed to the top of a telephone booth at Brighton pier and then fell to the ground, critically injuring his head.

He was rushed to a hospital in West Sussex, where he remained this week.
Bernadette Sexton’s partner, Harry Shannon, told the Daily Mail that Neeson has been in contact with his sister.
At the age of 45, Neeson’s wife, actress Natasha Richardson, died of a massive head injury following a freak skiing accident in Quebec, Canada, in 2009. In February of this year,
Neeson told Anderson Cooper on “60 Minutes” that her death still doesn’t seem real, even five years after the tragedy.
“It was never real. It still kind of isn’t,” Neeson told Copper. “There’s — there’s periods now in our New York residence when I hear the door opening, especially the first couple of years, she would always drop the keys in the — on the table. Say, ‘Hello?’ So anytime I hear that door opening I still think I’m gonna hear her, you know. And, then, grief’s like, it hits you. It’s like a wave.”
