"NCIS" star Mark Harmon and talk show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres are America's top favorite television personalities,
according to a Harris Poll released Friday.
At No. 2 on the list behind DeGeneres, Harmon, 62, has been playing the role of Special Agent Jethro Gibbs since "JAG," starring on "NCIS" since 2003.

DeGeneres has appeared in the Top 10 every year since her talk show premiered, according to a press release from The Harris Poll. This is the third time she's been No. 1. In March, the 55-year-old comedian will host the Academy Awards for the second time.
Jim Parsons of "The Big Bang Theory" and "The Tonight Show" host Jay Leno rounded out the Top 5, with Stephen Colbert, Tom Selleck, Oprah Winfrey, Robin Williams, and Steve Harvey bringing the list to 10.
Though Degeneres is the most popular overall, Stewart ranked No. 1 among men, while Harmon was top among Republicans, conservatives and matures, those 68 and older. The only other celebrity to take a category was Colbert, who earned the top spot among those with a post-graduate degree.
The Harris Poll is conducted annually. This year's study was based on the feedback of 2,311 U.S. adults surveyed online between Dec. 11-17, 2013 by Harris Interactive.
