Batman fans were treated to their first look of the new Batmobile that will appear in the upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie, as well as a peek at Ben Affleck in his superhero suit.

Director Zack Snyder tweeted the first picture of Affleck decked out in his Dark Knight armor, shot on the set of the "Man of Steel" sequel, which is filming in Detroit. The still unnamed film features Affleck as Batman opposite Henry Cavill's Superman. Gal Gadot also appears as Wonder Woman.

The ears on the Batman's cowl are smaller than previous versions, and his suit includes a large but subtle bat symbol on the chest.

The much-anticipated film is scheduled to open May 6, 2016.

In addition to Cavill, Affleck, and Gadot, Jessie Eisenberg debuts as Superman baddie Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons appears Batman's butler Alfred Pennyworth.

While Batman may have excited the populous, fans began clamoring for Superman pictures.
