"Man of Steel 2" doesn't hit theaters for another year and a half, but there's already buzz amongst fans over the rumored new, redesigned batsuit for Ben Affleck, which some are calling "mind bending."
The superhero action film will feature the first big-screen meeting of Superman, played by Henry Cavill, and Batman, played by Ben Affleck. It's due out in summer 2015.
Kevin Smith, film director and comic book aficionado, talked about
Batman's new batsuit on his Hollywood Babble-On podcast last week, and said he was "elated" by it.

"I saw the Batman costume. More than that I saw a picture of [Affleck] in the costume… Now, I don't want to give anything away 'cause that is up to them and stuff… but I am going to say this, I instantly bear hugged [director Zack] Snyder," he said. "You have not seen this costume in a movie on film before, and for a comic book fan, it was mind bending. I was like 'Get the f— out of here, only you have enough power to pull this off.'"
Affleck will be replacing Christian Bale, who originally donned the black cape and batsuit in Christopher Nolan's "Batman" trilogy.
Warner Bros. first announced Affleck as the next caped crusader back in August.
"Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry's Superman," director Snyder said in a statement at the time. "He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retains the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can't wait to work with him."
But fans weren’t too pleased with the casting choice and tweeted their ideas for #BetterBatmanThanBenAffleck.
