Still on the run are Anthony Mendonca, who was in jail for carrying a concealed weapon, and Triston Cheadle, who was being
transferred to a state prison on methamphetamine charges, said KFOR-TV in Oklahoma City.
The four men escaped Sunday through a small hatch over a shower stall at the Anadarko County jail in Caddo County, KFOR said. They crawled through the area where the air conditioning and plumbing was housed below the roof, and had to knock out a couple of concrete walls to escape.
County sheriff Gene Cain told KWT-TV that it was a small area they climbed through.
"They kind of followed the pipe to where it came down into a room, which is outside actually the jail to a door,” he said.
The jail only realized the four had escaped after someone called police Sunday and said four men in orange prison uniforms were running down the street, KFOR said.
Mendonca is 5’8” tall, 190 pounds and American Indian,
according to NewsOK. Cheadle is African American and 5’9” tall and about 190 pounds.
Police are telling the public to assume the men are armed and dangerous and to call police immediately if they’re seen.
