A Texas man surprised his girlfriend with a proposal and a wedding all on the same day, and he secretly planned the entire thing based almost entirely off her "dream wedding" Pinterest board.
Ryan Leak, 27, of Dallas, made a mental note five years ago when he and Amanda Roman, 25, started dating after he overheard her telling a friend that it would be cool to get engaged and married on the same day.

"She already knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her and that we wanted to get married someday,"
Leak told TODAY.com about the wedding, which he says took him roughly a year and a half to plan. "I asked her to write down everything she wanted on a sheet of paper: What are we wearing? Who is invited? Who is officiating? She wrote it all out for me a year before I even started thinking about planning."
Leak then did some "recon" work and discovered his girlfriend's Pinterest page, a virtual collage site where she had "pinned" more than 200 inspirational pictures of wedding-themed things.
From the ring to the flowers to the food down to the dress and the cake and the music, Roman had it all picked out.
"I just started pinning pictures on there even
thinking that I may never have that," Roman told ABC News.
But with the help of family and friends, Leak made her dream wedding a reality with a surprise proposal, a ceremony, and reception all on the same day. In June, he flew Roman to Miami to what she thought was a romantic getaway but instead turned out to be the biggest day of her life.
After the proposal, Leak led his new fiancée into their hotel's lounge where 100 of their family and friends had gathered and the festivities began.
"The day was even better than how I would have planned it," Roman said. "Realistically I never thought that I would be able to pull off some of the things I saw on Pinterest, but Ryan is a risk-taker and he didn't settle for my watered-down version of my 'dream wedding' — he went for the gusto. And honestly, it was like I was on Cloud 9. I felt like I was living in a fairy tale."
Leak had the entire day filmed and later turned it into a 30-minute documentary called "The Suprise Wedding."
"A lot of people said 'I can’t believe he took away her experience of planning a wedding,'" he said. "But she did get to plan it — without any of the work!"
