Reynaldo Rey, 'White Men Can't Jump' Actor, Dies at 75

“White Men Can’t Jump” actor Reynaldo Rey died Thursday from complications after a 2014 stroke. He was 75.

Rey acted in more than 52 movies, including “Harlem Nights,” “Friday,” and “House Party 3.” The actor was born in Oklahoma and, after earning his B.S. in Education at Kansas State Teacher’s College, he became involved in theater while earning his master’s at Wichita State University. While teaching, he continued to pursue theater experience in Cleveland, Ohio, and then launched his comedy career, according to his website biography.

Many went online to remember Rey’s impact on their lives:



“#RIP the Legendary Comic Reynaldo Rey. He was there when I started hosting Comic View teaching and showing me how to be a professional. God Bless sir,” wrote Cedric the Entertainer on Instagram.



And Ice Cube, who worked with Rey on “Friday,” tweeted:
