The San Antonio Police headquarters took gunfire on Saturday night, but no one was injured, according to the San Antonio Express-News. One man was arrested and another was being sought.

The gunfire came two days after five police officers were shot and killed in Dallas during a protest against police-involved shootings of African-Americans.

The shooting at the San Antonio Public Safety Headquarters at 315 S. Santa Rosa St. in downtown San Antonio happened just before 10 p.m.

"We are not going to be targets; we are not going to allow officers to be targets," San Antonio Police Chief William McManus told the Express-News. "This is not open season on police officers here in San Antonio or anywhere else. We're not going to allow that to happen."

Police discovered several "impact sites" on the upper floor of the headquarters building, reported KSAT-TV. McManus told the television station that several shell casings were found in an alley.

Authorities arrested one man spotted running from the scene after the shooting but didn't say if he was a suspect, according to KSAT-TV. Police later released a general description of a suspect, who was wearing an orange shirt and navy blue jeans.

The San Antonio Police bomb squad also investigated an unoccupied car near the headquarters that they believed may be connected to Saturday's shooting, noted KSAT-TV.

"We don't know what the motive was," McManus told the Express-News. "If someone was randomly firing or if they saw a big building and decided to shoot at it, or other motives."
