Sam Michael Fox, son of Michael J. and Tracy Pollan, and Francesca Eastwood, daughter of Clint Eastwood and Frances Fisher, held the role for the past two award shows.
Others who have had the role include Rainey Qualley, daughter of Andie MacDowell; Gia Mantegna, daughter of Joe Mantegna; Rumer Willis, daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis; Joely Fisher, daughter of Connie Stevens and Eddie Fisher; Freddie Prinze Jr., son of Freddie Prinze; and Mavis Spencer, daughter of Alfre Woodard and Roderick Spencer.
Some have become Golden Globe winners themselves. Laura Dern, daughter of Diane Ladd and Bruce Dern, served as Miss Golden Globe in 1982, then returned to win three Golden Globes — Best Performance in a TV Movie or Miniseries for "Afterburn," Best Supporting Role in a TV Movie or Miniseries for "Recount," and Best Performance in TV Comedy or Miniseries for HBO's "Enlightened."
Melanie Griffith, daughter of Tippi Hedren, was a five-time Golden Globe nominee and won in 1988 for Best Performance in a Comedy or Musical for the movie "Working Girl." She was Miss Golden Globe in 1975.
"I am so grateful to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for naming me
this year's Miss Golden Globe," Bacon said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "As a young actress who is just beginning my career, it is truly an honor to be a part of such a special night in film and television. I can only hope to continue the legacy and tradition of Miss Golden Globe by following in the footsteps of my predecessors."
Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will host the 71st annual Golden Globes on NBC Jan. 12 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
