Taco Bell's waffle taco was so popular with its Southern California trial audience earlier this year that the fast food chain is expanding the testing to more locations starting this week.
The new breakfast menu item — sausage and a scrambled egg folded inside a waffle with syrup on the side —
made its debut at five Southern California Taco Bell chains in May, but will now be featured at 100 stores throughout
Fresno, Calif., Omaha, Neb., and Chattanooga, Tenn., according to the Los Angeles Times.
Taco Bell has been struggling to revamp its image over the last few years. Earlier this year, it changed its slogan to "Live Mas," and just last month it cut its entire kids menu, citing low profits.
