Tim Tebow has turned down two top television reality shows that reportedly made offers to him to participate.
Media speculation that the Denver Broncos star quarterback would appear on “The Bachelor” went viral after the host of the show, Chris Harrison, said while guest hosting for “Access Hollywood” that he had talked to Tebow about being on the show.
“I met him about becoming our next ‘Bachelor’ . . . I think he'd be a great Bachelor,” Harrison said. “He did say yes . . . but he would never do it. He has a little job called quarterback at least for another year.”
The Denver Broncos quickly stepped in and put an end to the talk of a Tebow-ing “Bachelor.”
“Tim will not be participating in the show,” a Broncos spokesperson told TheWrap.
Tebow himself also weighed in via his Twitter account, tweeting the following: “Haha rumors can be crazy! Even though I've watched the show before, I'm definitely not gonna be on the Bachelor. #JessePalmer.”
Similar stories of another reality show offer appeared in the media in February, after war veteran and Season 13 “DWTS” champ J.R. Martinez told Celebuzz.com that he had met Tebow in Indianapolis during Super Bowl weekend and had spoken to him about the ABC show.
The Broncos team via its spokesperson indicated otherwise, stating that Tebow was not interested in competing on the show and clarifying that he “is focused on preparing for the 2012 season with the Denver Broncos.”
Tebow will undoubtedly be a highly sought after celebrity for future television and movie projects and has already signed with Hollywood power agency William Morris Endeavor to represent him.
