The irrepressible and pretty hysterical duo of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler has committed to hosting the Golden Globes for the next two years.
The two hosted the January show this year and were so popular that they were
asked back for an unusual two-year contract, according to The Associated Press.

Allen Shapiro, the head of Dick Clark Productions, told the AP the two have “a truly unique chemistry making them one of the most talented and captivating pairings of all time.”
Poehler and Fey replaced Ricky Gervais, who was sometimes charged with being polarizing in his humor, and the women were able to draw laughter without driving anyone apart.
“We want to assure you that we have no intention of being edgy or offensive tonight,” Poehler said, dealing with the Gervais criticism right up front. “Because, as Ricky learned the hard way, when you run afoul of the Hollywood Foreign Press, they make you host this show two more times!”
The two funnywomen received at least some of the credit for the 2013 Golden Globe ratings, which saw
viewership go up 17 percent over the previous year, Reuters said. A whopping 19.7 million people watched the show, and the 18- to 49-year-old age group that advertisers love saw viewership go up 28 percent.
Fans took to social media to shout varying versions of “hallelujah” that the two would return, but commentary about Poehler and Fey isn’t confined to any particular topic. It’s often just universal love.
