Wegmans grocery stores have issued a nationwide recall for "Sweet 2 Eat" peaches, nectarines, and black plums after they tested positive for Listeria. The recall affects fruits sold between June 1 and July 20, and includes baked goods containing the fruits.

ABC affiliate WENY reported this week that Wawona Packing Company in California discovered the organism, which can cause short-term symptoms like high fever, nausea, and diarrhea in adults, and can prove fatal to young children, the elderly, and anyone with a weakened immune system.

"If customers have this product at home, we would like them to discard it. And then when they visit our store, they should keep track of what they discarded if it's peaches or a dessert. Visit our service desk and let us know how much was discarded, and we'll gladly give them a refund," said Jo Natale, Wegmans' media director.

The FDA has been notified of the recall, and reported that there have not been any known cases of sickness due to the products.

To view the full list of items recalled, both raw fruit and products like Wegmans Peach Salsa, visit the company's official website, Wegmans.com.

Additionally, Wawona Packing Company can be reached at 1-888-232-9912, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
