Interpol has issued an international red notice for the White Widow, whom officials speculate was involved in the Kenya mall massacre that began last weekend and left at least 62 people dead.
Samantha Lewthwaite earned the "White Widow" nickname after her husband, suicide bomber Germaine Lindsay, killed 26 people when he blew up a London subway train in a 2005 coordinated terror attack. Lewthwaite, 29, has been on the run ever since.

Rumors started swirling that the Brit was involved in the mall attack after a Kenyan intelligence officer and two soldiers
told Reuters Monday that one of the militants was a white British woman.
The attacks began Saturday when terrorists from the al-Qaida-linked and Somalia-based group al-Shabab stormed the mall, shooting bystanders and hurling grenades.
International counterterrorism officials have reportedly been searching for the White Widow ever since 2011, when
bomb-making materials were found during a raid on her Mombasa, Kenya, apartment, according to CNN. She disappeared before the search.
Now, Interpol has issued a red notice to alert law enforcement agencies around the world that she is wanted. A red notice is not an arrest warrant, CNN noted.
"By requesting an Interpol Red Notice, Kenya has activated a global 'tripwire' for this fugitive," Interpol Secretary General Ronald K. Noble told CNN. "Through the Interpol Red Notice, Kenyan authorities have ensured that all 190 member countries are aware of the danger posed by this woman, not just across the region but also worldwide."
Lewthwaite was born in Northern Ireland and
grew up in Aylesbury, a London suburb, according to The Associated Press. She reportedly converted to Islam when she was a teenager.
