James Rosen, Piers Morgan Duke It Out on Twitter Over Beatles

By    |   Monday, 27 January 2014 11:51 AM EST

Fox News correspondent James Rosen bashed Piers Morgan on Twitter after the CNN host criticized Ringo Starr during his performance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday.

"If this was a karaoke bar, Ringo would be bottled off by now," Morgan tweeted.

Rosen, a huge Beatles fan, came to Starr's defense with a scathing tweet aimed at Morgan:

Morgan responded that his voice tops that of Starr.

Morgan's comments, evidently, didn't diffuse the situation, as Rosen took another swipe at Morgan:

The slugfest continued with Morgan telling Rosen that he has millions more Twitter followers than Ringo Starr and Rosen,

And after another follower questioned Morgan about who James Rosen was, Morgan replied with an insult about Rosen's salary:

Rosen ended the tirade, tweeting that his "work here is done."

Starr was joined at the 56th annual awards by Sir Paul McCartney. It was the first time in five years that the two surviving members of the Beatles reunited on stage.
