The lawsuit filed by the NFL players union against the league over Tom Brady’s four-game suspension was ordered moved from Minnesota to New York federal court.
The New England Patriots quarterback and two-time NFL Most Valuable Player was probably at least generally aware two Patriots staffers deflated game balls below the minimum air pressure before last season’s conference championship game, the National Football League concluded.
The NFL Players Association’s suit, filed Wednesday, seeks to set aside the penalty. The lawsuit followed Patriots owner Robert Kraft’s statement that he regrets not taking legal action against the league after Commissioner Roger Goodell on Tuesday refused to reduce Brady’s penalty.
The NFL is based in New York.
