A Christian husband-and-wife bakery shop team who declined to bake for the wedding of a lesbian couple has been forced to shutter the business and move it to their home after being hounded by gay rights activists, reports
the Washington Times.
In May, Aaron and Melissa Klein, owners and operators of Sweet Cakes by Melissa in Oregon, refused the request of the same-sex couple on the grounds the marriage went against their Christian beliefs.

After the Kleins turned down the job, the lesbian couple filed a complaint with the state, accusing the shop owners of discrimination.
Since then, they’ve been hounded by vicious telephone calls and emails from some in the gay-rights community who take umbrage at their decision.
One emailer wished for the couple’s children to fall ill, while another hoped that Aaron Klein would be shot and even raped.
Another wrote: “Here’s hoping you go out of business, you bigot.”
The couple said that the harassment was directed not only at them but their vendors as well, who were “badgered and harassed” into ending all business relationships with them.
The Kleins say they are closing their shop and will do business out of their home.
