CNN Launches New 'Facts First' ad

By    |   Monday, 23 October 2017 10:46 AM EDT

In a new ad released Monday, CNN takes an apparent jab at President Donald Trump's attacks on the press, The Hill is reporting.

The ad, which appeared on CNN's social media sites, shows a red apple.

"This is an apple," a man's voice says. "Some people might try to tell you that it's a banana. They might scream, 'banana, banana, banana,' over and over and over again. They might put banana in all caps. You might even start to believe that this is a banana. But it's not. This is an apple."

The ad ends with the words: "Facts First" printed on the screen, followed by the CNN logo.

Trump has been critical of the press, labeling many reports as "fake news." And he has singled out CNN in some of his attacks, The Hill noted.
