Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry says he may not join his teammates if the NBA champions decide to take a traditional victory trek to the White House.

In a meeting with reporters Wednesday, Curry was asked about a potential visit — and conceded that although it wasn't likely, he could change his mind, Business Insider reported.

"Somebody asked me about it a couple months ago, like a hypothetical, if a championship were to happen what I'd do and I think I answered 'I wouldn't go,'" he said. "I still feel like that today. But obviously, as a team, we're going to have a conversation."

"This is a moment we all need to enjoy together," he said. "Nothing should distract from what we were able to accomplish together. And different kinds of ceremonies and traditions that have happened around championship winning teams, we don't want that to taint what we accomplished this year. So we'll handle that accordingly."

Business Insider posted a video of the remarks.

The team announced Tuesday it hadn't yet decided if it would travel to the White House for a championship celebration.

But Business Insider pointed out Warriors coach Steve Kerr — who has openly criticized the Trump administration's proposed travel ban — reportedly decided in November that he wouldn't accept an invitation to the White House if the Warriors won the championship.
