Why in the world do Democrats insist on opposition to the Trump expulsion of illegals — Latino or Muslim — with a criminal record? Or any action that enforces immigration laws.
Are they saying it is acceptable to Americans to allow criminals, some of which have long records and homicide convictions, to roam around the country at will?
Or why the unbalanced insistence to defend to the death sanctuary cities, concocted by left-wing operatives, knowing full well the construct defied the Constitution, and did not have the will of the people in each city.
The opposition from the left includes fighting the president’s perfectly sane policy to cease immigration from countries on the internationally agreed list of countries harboring terrorists. So the left is okay with terrorists entering the country, and illegals who are convicted felons protected.
And why is it journalists and broadcasters never ask Democrats their reasons why? Come to think of it, that is one of the sneaky ways the biased newsmedia assists the left-wing view. By ignoring it, as if everything is rosy, or avoiding in-depth coverage of a dodgy issue — or a person like Barack Obama.
Do you think it was unusual for The New York Times or The Washington Post not to publish a flashy one-on-one in-depth interview with the first black president? It was a perfect example of what media can do, protect Obama from tough questions by exclusion. I learned as an editor and publisher you can cause as much harm or good by ignoring the subject.
No one seems able to penetrate the secret motives of the left accurately, but I can reach back in time for an example that seems almost identical — going back to 9/11.
NPR’s coverage during 9/11 has never left my mind. The lead each hour was not the unprecedented damage and chaos by high-jacked airliners crashing into into New York City’s highest office buildings. A third plane crashed into the Pentagon, and another was headed for the White House before brave passengers took over, sacrificing their lives to crash the plane before it could cause more carnage.
Ironically, the horror ended up turning into America’s greatest moment. Courage, helping hands, police and fire fighters putting themselves in serious danger, and the expressions of sympathy to those killed, caused Americans to embrace each other — literally and figuratively.
Yet, the official radio network of the left somberly informed listeners the most important way to help was taking extra care not to accost or criticize American Muslims.
Were they kidding? No. Somewhere in the left’s handbook, followers are instructed to stain Americans who do not agree with them, while embracing anyone breathing to lure them into the Democratic party. This comparison to 9/11 sympathy with Muslims, and today’s fight over immigration policy, fall together nicely.
The righteous and pompous denizens of the left actually accused Americans of a penchant to harm others. Yet, clearly it was Muslim terrorists who attacked us — not us attacking them.
So who dreamed up the fantasy that Americans would react to 9/11 by forming gangs of armed Christians to root out and punish Muslims. As is always the case, the left’s bizarre paranoid theories are smoke screens, back then — and today.
