Grassroots candidate Dennis Lynch announced recently that he is exploring a run for president in 2016, which means there will be plenty of scrutiny from the left side for his conservative thoughts and ideas.
Lynch, an entrepreneur and documentary filmmaker, has made two movies about immigration and the lack of border security in the U.S., and he's been critical of other potential GOP hopefuls.

Here are the words of five liberal pundits discussing Lynch:
Aasif Mandvi, "The Daily Show" correspondent during a
skewering piece on Lynch's ideas about illegal immigration and the dangers it possesses: "To save all that we cherish, Lynch and his allies know that exaggerated fear is our only hope."
Madeleine Davies, a writer for Jezebel, after watching “The Daily Show” piece: "It must be nice to live in a brain that's free of any critical thought or logic. All of your personal truths could be based in feelings like fear or greed and all of your reactions could be gut reactions. You'd never have to 'read reports' or 'look at facts.' Think about it! (You would never have to think about it!) Of course, the danger with having that kind of brain is that you often get things horribly wrong. Just look at anti-immigration advocate Dennis Michael Lynch. ... His racism and xenophobia are based in good old fashioned panic and fear-mongering."
Pat Young, writing for the New York State Immigrant Action Fund: "Dennis Michael Lynch has become Fox’s go-to guy for stereotyping immigrants. ... He is a Class A idiot who Fox should drop like a hot tamale."

Paul Vale, a deputy news editor for Huffington Post UK, after Lynch said on Fox News that he would bet his life that ISIS already was in America: "Grab your muskets, America — the black-cowled hordes of the Islamic State (IS) have invaded mainland US. At least that’s the assertion put forward by one Fox News pundit ... Unfortunately, the host quickly moved on without questioning Lynch as to why members of IS would venture to the US, why they would choose to cross a border under such close scrutiny, or even why they would invade through such a gun-heavy state as Texas. Next time ..."
Media Matters, writing in July 2013, about Lynch's frequent appearances on Fox News: "Over the past three months, Fox has amplified the voices of two anti-immigrant guests, Michael Cutler and Dennis Michael Lynch, hosting them at least 13 times to rail against immigration reform and bash immigrants. ... Lynch is a documentary filmmaker whose expertise on immigration seems to stem only from directing two anti-immigrant films that have been heavily promoted by nativist organizations."
